How is acne treated here?

Treat the cause, prevent the scar.

Acne treatment at Gounsesang is medical, not cosmetic. We target the three causes — excess sebum, inflammation and bacteria — with a program that can include extraction, inflammation injections, photodynamic therapy, lasers and prescriptions, controlling active acne first so it cannot scar. For existing scars, we choose the device by scar type: fractional and microneedle RF such as Potenza for rolling and boxcar scars, with collagen remodeling that fills depressions over a series. The goal is durable improvement and a protected skin barrier, not a quick surface fix.

Acne & scar questions

Frequently asked questions

Does acne treatment stop breakouts returning?
Treating the causes — sebum, inflammation, bacteria — with a structured program and home care substantially lowers recurrence.
How many sessions for acne scars?
Most scar courses run 4–6 sessions of collagen remodeling at intervals, with cumulative improvement of 50–70%.
What is PDT and when is it used?
Photodynamic therapy uses light with a photosensitizer to calm inflammation and reduce recurrence in inflammatory acne.
Can I treat scars while I still have active acne?
No — active acne is controlled first, because treating scars over active acne risks worsening and new scarring.
Is acne treatment safe for sensitive skin?
Yes; a board-certified director adjusts the program and energy for sensitive or darker skin.
Do you offer English consultations for acne?
Yes. Send close-up photos in natural light and a director will outline a program in English.
